The 2024 Kit Inspired by the Elements of Water, Fire, Earth & Air with:
🌊 genuine freshwater pearls
🔥 hand worked glass

& 🌬️ mohair
This year’s kit has increased options to curate your custom, perfect experience.
The color theme is rich & dark contrasted with brighter colors. It is loosely based on the image. I realize that yellow & orange pearls are the least popular so those colors will not be a major component of the theme.
Duration
Increased options including: 8, 12, 21 & 25 days to fit Advent, Solstice & Hanukkah celebrations.
However, kits will not mention any holidays within so you can allow your preference of duration or budget to make the selection.

Metals
Options include all the classics: Silver Plated & Copper - both with a tarnish resistant coating and Antique Copper.
New this year - Gold filled/Plated. For the gold option, there are 2 loop size options: Light Worsted/gold filled or Removable/gold plated. See below for ordering the gold option.
Loop Sizes
For Silver plated, Copper and Antique Copper, options are: Sock (US 3); Aran (US 10); Removable (Opens) or a Mix of the 3.
Style
Each kit comes in 2 styles: Lovely & Luxe
Lovely - features 1 stitch marker in a numbered envelope per day, in beautiful, gift worthy packaging with all the trimmings. The stitch markers will be a mix of genuine freshwater pearls, gemstones & handmade glass with the majority being pearls.
Luxe - includes everything in the Lovely kit plus 3 very special extras from an indie yarn dyer, a glass artisan & Purlsmith.
The yarn dyer is creating a custom dyed full skein of mohair just for this kit and the glass artisan is creating a surprise that will be useful & gorgeous.

The majority of Purlsmith’s advent customers have purchased year after year.
My goal for this year is to make the kit a little more unexpected than a daily pearl while keeping the same gift worthy details & presentation.
Please note -
* There may be extra advents available in the Fall but it is very unlikely and particularly unlikely that there will be luxe versions available.
* I have increased options this year and am not able to taken any special requests for different options.
* All kits will be mailed in early November to ensure they are in your hands for the start of your celebration.
ORDERING Options
Use this listing for the classic kits
Gold - Use this listing to order a classic style kit with gold plated/filled as your metal
Double - Use this kit if you would like 2 removable stitch markers in each envelope matched as closely as possible so they can be used as earrings and you are a fiber lover.
Jewelry Lover - Use this option for the non knitting jewelry lover. There is no mention of knitting or yarn in the kit at all. Inspired by my daughters, this is an option for a daily charm or a pair of earrings in a numbered envelope.
✨✨✨Please Note - Advents must be ordered separately. If an order comes in with an advent + other items, it will be cancelled and refunded. This is the only way to make it work with a delayed shipping.
More than 1 advent to the same address CAN be put on one order as long as nothing other than the advents are in the order.
